Earthy Thai Tea

Thaiwala Thai tea gets its groove from bee-endorsed tea, organic caramel, pure cocoa, cane and vanilla - and fresh-cut organic Thai herbs.

Heather has done it again.

This time with a Thai tea that's insanely good, sourced from a small tea farm in northern Thailand whose cred is backed by mobs of ecstatic honeybees.

Q: Can I drink it straight out of the box?

Please don’t. Mix Thaiwala Iced Tea concentrate with equal parts whole milk or top it off with half-and-half. Serve over ice.

Q: I just bought some Thaiwala and opened it, and the foil on the inside is hanging down. Has it been tampered with?

A: This is the most common question we get. The cap we use is the Tetra Pak Helicap. It is designed to puncture and cut the foil as you twist the cap. Here’s a video. That’s normal.

Q: Why is there sediment in my tea?

A: We import raw tea from Thailand, and we brew it in the U.S. It is brewed and some of the tea makes its way into the carton.

Q: Why is my tea green instead of orange? It tastes fine, though. Is it safe to drink?

A: We mix an expensive Thai herb  -- organic pandan leaf -- into our tea to give it an even more special Thai flavor.  This can give it a green color. It can even become greener the longer it is in your fridge.

Q: How much caffeine is in Thaiwala?

A: Less than 5 mg per serving, qualifying Thaiwala as caffeine-free. We do not use black tea leaves, which contain the caffeine. Thai Tea is generally made from parts of the tea plant after the leaves have been removed.

Q: What if I’m diabetic?

A: We offer an unsweetened version, which you can add your own sweetener to.

Q: Do I need to refrigerate my carton of Thaiwala?

A: If it’s opened, you can keep it in the refrigerator for two weeks. Unopened, it can live anywhere until the best-before date.

Q: How many servings does one carton make?

A: About five servings.

Q: What if I own a cafe or restaurant and want to offer Thaiwala?

A: Webstaurant delivers nationally. We recommend them. If you are in San Diego, contact Sysco. UNFI also carries Thaiwala. You may be able to order from Costco Business Centers, if you live within their delivery zone.
